BLOG 10
YOU ARE NOT STARTING OVER.
YOU ARE STARTING FROM EXPERIENCE.
Over the next 90 days, I am building the foundation of The Strawberry Wisdom. For a long time, this project lived mainly as a book. A very personal book. A book built from six decades of life, across countries, relationships, motherhood, work, grief, travel, rebuilding, spiritual practice, and the slow discovery that nothing we live is ever truly wasted.
The structure of the book is simple.Six decades.
Six chapters.
One life, harvested slowly.
Each chapter follows the same Strawberry method:
Story → Wisdom → Practice → Reflection
First, I tell the story.
Then I harvest the wisdom.
Then I offer a practice.
Then I return the question to you.
Because this book was never meant to be only about my life.
Most memoirs ask you to witness someone else’s story.
The Strawberry Wisdom asks something more intimate: it invites you to look at your own. It asks: What has your life been trying to teach you?
The strawberry first appeared in my childhood, in gardens, forests, family rituals, and simple moments of joy. Later, it became something deeper: a symbol of the wisdom that grows quietly inside a life before we are ready to name it. In my childhood chapter, strawberries are still literal: picked from the garden, tasted after school, connected to family, nature, resilience, creativity, confidence and health.
By the time the book reaches my fifties, the strawberry has become a symbol of transmission: the moment when a woman stops only surviving her experiences and begins turning them into something useful for others. Chapter 6 is where many of the strongest teachings now live: authentic love, grief, the body, energy, sacred space, food, forgiveness, courage, solitude, intuition, travel, gratitude and legacy.
This is what I am building now.The book is the root.
From that root will grow courses, workshops, reflective tools, workbooks, card decks, and eventually a wider Strawberry Wisdom ecosystem. But I am choosing to build this in the right order.
First, the book.
Then, the first course.
Then, the wider garden.
The first course will be called: Harvest Your Life Wisdom
It will be a course for people who feel they have lived through a lot, but have not yet fully understood what it all means.
It will be for those who are not starting from zero, but from experience.
For those who have known love, loss, change, reinvention, silence, courage, confusion, recovery, and the quiet question that often arrives in the middle of life:
What was all of this trying to teach me?
In this first course, I will guide people through the same movement that shaped the book:
from story into meaning,
from experience into wisdom,
from reflection into practice,
from survival into conscious direction.
Because wisdom is not something reserved for experts, teachers or spiritual masters.
Wisdom is often already there, hidden inside what you have lived.
Inside the relationship that changed you.
Inside the grief you carried quietly.
Inside the body that kept speaking when your mind tried to manage everything.
Inside the home you rebuilt.
Inside the journey that brought you back to yourself.
Inside the version of you who kept going, even when no one saw how much courage it took.
Over the next 90 days, I will be sharing more of this process with you: the book, the course, the practices, the questions, and the slow building of The Strawberry Wisdom.
My hope is simple.
That this work helps you revisit your own life with honesty, curiosity and compassion.
That it helps you see that your experiences are not random.
That it helps you recognise the wisdom already growing inside you.
So today, I would love to ask you one question: What experience in your life do you feel is still waiting to become wisdom?
You can reply with one sentence, one memory, one word, or simply keep the question with you for today.
With warmth,
Babette
